Got yourself a 5 dollar wrt did ya? Not sure about the Kamikaze verison of OpenWrt. Nothing stopping you from putting any firmware you want on it.
That being said Fon won't like it. |

the fonera is not a wrt, it's a custom job with an atheros chipset
I have a ported versions of dd-wrt running on my la fonera, but simply based on the fact that it's 'ported' I'm going to guess that a few modifications need be made for bluebox to work on foneras, although that would be really cool if it was ported, the rp-sma connector on my fonera is a big help plus |

the la fonera specifies the new small white wireless ap
I have an old one back when FON sold wrts that were $5, I also have 4 of the new foneras if the bluebox maker would like to make a port for them, I would gladly send one in exchange for a copy of the full version |

| Give it a try and let us know how it goes. If I remember correctly BlueBox only runs on RC5, so the new version is out. So make sure you use RC5 code. |

It's not the same thing, but they have gotten AUTOAP running on a FON router. Not as nice as BLUEBOX and you are required to install the latest DD-WRT firmware. They say they might get it running on a La Fonera running OPENWRT but i think it's too different for them to succeed.
You can download it at www.fonerahacks.com |
